Hi I'm Kaitlin Castleberry

I grew up in Sandy, Utah. I'm the youngest in my family. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I have many hobbies. I love soccer- playing, watching and even thinking about it, I love to sing and I love to dance, though my attempts at dancing fall short haha. I love to do anything that involves the outdoors. I've been attending an University for the past two years and it's been so hard but so fun and rewarding. While there I was on a preforming singing and dance team. WE had the opportunity to go back east and preform for schools on the east coast. It was incredible! I am the youngest in my family by 11 years. The people in my family are my best friends. I love each and every one of them so much. I am an aunt, let me tell you, my nieces and nephews are on of the biggest joys in my life!

Why I am a Mormon

My first semester away from home I stopped going to church, I would just sleep in. I didn't realize how unhappy I became until I moved back home during the summer. The joy and peace that washed over me when I went to church with my family. I didn't realize how empty my life was without the gospel. I love the gospel because no matter how old you are, you will always learn something new. You need to be constantly feeding your knowledge of the gospel. I am a mormon because of the immeasurable joy and happiness it brings me. I am a mormon because of the knowledge I have that my family and I will forever be together. I am a mormon because I know that my Savior died so that I can live again in the presence of my Father in Heaven. I am a mormon because I know the the book of mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I am a mormon, I know it, I live it, I love it.

How I live my faith

While at university I had the opportunity to be called in my ward to be a music director. I was able to bring music to the lives around me. I believe that music has the gift to touch everyone and bring peace to them. I was so happy for this calling. During the holiday season I asked people to go caroling with me. My all time favorite place to go caroling is an old folks home. The joy that it brings the residents is unreal. It brings me so much happiness to see an elderly persons eyes light up when we sing about the Lord. I love to bake, so that is the perfect way to serve the women I home teach. Every week I would bake them cookies, brownies, even dinner and I would visit with them and ask if they needed anything. So in short, how I live my faith is by doing the little things. By trying to answer the call of being someones friend. I strive to be the person that lifts others up, that makes them feel so good about themselves and to help them see themselves as our Heavenly Father sees them.
