Hi I'm Nathan

I live in one of the most diverse cities in America. I swim competitively. I play piano and drums. I'm a Lifeguard. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I helped clean up New York after Hurricane Sandy. I'll be attending Brigham Young University after my mission to Indonesia. I love classic rock. I'm an Eagle Scout. I biked the entire C&O Canal twice. I love calisthenics, even though I'm new at it. I've been on marching band for 5 years. I've been playing piano since I was about 5. I've swam on summer and high school swim teams since 2012. I really don't like store frosting. My friends come from all over the world: El Salvador, Chile, Ethiopia, Philippines to name a few. I graduated with an International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Why I am a Mormon

I will admit I have seen my fair share of imperfections in the church, but my favorite quote keeps me strong: the Church is perfect; the people in charge of it are not always perfect as well. I've read the Book of Mormon multiple times, and each time, I learn something new, which I know testifies of its truth. I have also fasted and prayed about the truth of the Book of Mormon and the Church as a whole, receiving comfort when asking each time, which I know is the Holy Ghost testifying to me and assuring me. I know through very personal experience that the Atonement of Jesus Christ works, and I have felt it change my life. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church established on Earth today.

How I live my faith

I've led the youth in our church in several church discussions as well as fun activities. As an Eagle Scout, I did lots of community service. I go to other members' homes to teach them more about the gospel as a home teacher. I will be serving my mission in Indonesia, teaching and serving for 2 years.
