Hi I'm Scott

I grew up in Maryland, USA. I am a father of two and an avid runner. I am a Mormon!!!

About Me

I love being alive! I thrive by being active in nature and in my community and, most of all, in my family! I enjoy running up mountainsides and cycling the local trails with my wife and my children. Hiking the lesser known trails is a delight especially when you reach someplace amazing and see the hand of God in its beauty! Give me a porch swing and a cooling breeze and a book any day of the week! Yes...I...LOVE...BEING...ALIVE!!!

Why I am a Mormon

In the LDS church there is a feeling of safety and peace. As the world seems to be crumbling down the church stands strong and gets ever stronger as it grows and builds temples and spreads more fully across the world. But these feelings of safety and peace are not why I am a Mormon. In the LDS church there is a great sense of belonging. There is a friendship and a fellowship that I have not been able to find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

Nothing accentuates my faith more than service; serving my wife and my children, serving my family near and far, serving my neighbors, serving total strangers! When I give of my time and my energy and my talents and my monies that feeling of light and peace does overwhelm my soul and I feel that I am flying on the wings of eagles. One of my favorite places to be is the care center for the aged and the sick and the infirm that is in our community! The experiences I have had there have uplifted me far more than I could ever hope to lift someone else and I love that feeling and want to create that feeling as often as I can...all the time even!
