Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm preparing to serve an 18-month mission in Denver, Colorado, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm studying Art Education and hope to teach middle school or high school in the future. I love to draw and paint. I also love the outdoors, especially hiking, kayaking and swimming! I love gardening and home improvement projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chose to be baptized as a member of this church because it is truly Heavenly Father's restored, true church here on the earth. I firmly believe that our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ are real beings, with bodies and spirits, who, along with the Holy Ghost, make up the Godhead. I believe that Jesus Christ at the Head of this Church, and that all of the leaders of the Church, including the twelve apostles and President Monson were called by Christ to lead this Church and spread His gospel here on the earth until the time that the Savior comes again. I am thankful that we have the same organization of prophets and apostles called of Christ just as in the times when Christ walked on the earth. I know that this church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is God's true church established here on the earth!

How I live my faith

I love to do community service and help others. Serving others helps me to grow closer to my Father in Heaven and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am thankful for all of the things I have been blessed with in my life, and for all of the opportunities I have had to be able to serve others. I go to church each Sunday and regularly participate in church activities, whether they be recreational activities, service projects, or simply sharing scripture messages with one another each month.
