Hi I'm Rachel

I love tortillas and distance running. I can make "30 minute brownies" in 20 minutes. My family is my favorite, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a family of 6, with my parents and 3 brothers. I go to college at BYU in Provo, Utah, where some of my favorite things are creamery ice cream and running on BYU's track team. I love goats, can't dance, and work in a lumberyard during my summers.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior, Jesus Christ, and my sweet family. I believe that life is meant to be enjoyed; and that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings happiness and fulfillment to all who are willing to come unto Christ. I have a testimony of the Restored Gospel through Joseph Smith because of the feeling I get when I read Joseph's account of the first vision. I love this church!

How I live my faith

I am part of a large Mormon community here in my little town of Idaho. I participate in my ward by visiting young women each month as part of our "visiting teaching" program. I have been called to serve in Belgium and the Netherlands, where I will teach the gospel and bring others unto Christ. I'm so excited!

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Rachel
As Mormons, we believe that men and women serve as equals in partnership with one another and the Lord. Men and women have divine qualities that help us to compliment each other. Men are primarily protectors, and women are primarily nurturers, however, we are to share all responsibilities. In the home, workplace, and church organization, we have equal opportunity, importance, and honor. Show more Show less
