Hi I'm Chandler Ball

I am from California, I love playing guitar and ukulele, I am going to serve as a missionary in South Carolina, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to spend time with friends and family. I love to talk with and share laughs with others. I enjoy Playing guitar and ukulele in my spare time as well as drawing and singing. I love sports but mostly just for watching or playing with close friends and family. My favorite sports team is the New Orleans Saints but my family likes the San Francisco 49er's. I enjoy service opportunities and listening to other peoples stories. I have large family of 11 siblings and love it. I am grateful for my parents and grandparents and there support in my efforts. I seek the counsel of my grandparents and parents when I don't know what to do, as well as my heavenly father. He is always there listening. I am going to South Carolina to serve a mission for two years and am very excited. when I come home, I hope to start school here at home and eventually transfer to either BYU-I or LDS Business College to study Business. I am also interested in marketing, multimedia, and social sciences. I hope to be married in the temple one day and serve in the church to my fullest capacity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have a faithful family. My parents and grandparents are great examples to me. I love the spirit this gospel gives me and the hope it provides for my future. It gives me an eternal perspective. I have a testimony about the Saviors sacrifice for us, the atonement, that He suffered for my sins that I may be able to return spotless at the last day and live with Heavenly Father and my family forever. The Atonement is also a source of comfort when in sadness and is able to changes lives for the better. Prayer, scripture study, and the words of prophets and apostles have only strengthened my testimony of the truthfulness of Christ's gospel and that this is Christ's true church upon the earth today, guided and directed by Him through a living prophet. I know Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ live and love me. As I follow Christ and his commandments I know I will be blessed. I know that I am blessed with tender mercies every day. Sometimes they are harder to spot but being able to see His hand in my life strengthens my testimony of Him and that everything will be alright in the end.

How I live my faith

I try my best to keep up with others and ask how they are doing. Whenever my ward has a service project I make it a priority to be there. Serving others is important. As a Priest I would take the sacrament to a members house, and try to use my priesthood as often as I can. Reading scriptures helps guide me and helps me overcome the temptations of the world. Prayer helps me find peace and gives me direction as I increase my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I try my best to keep the spirit in the home and try to help out with things around the house. It is important to keep the family unified in all things so we can grow together.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Chandler Ball
The prophet Joseph Smith taught ‘Therefore ye are justified of faith and works, through grace...’ (see JST Romans 4:16). The Book of Mormon teaches ‘For we labor diligently to write to persuade our children, and also our brethren to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace we are saved after all we can do’ (2 Nephi 25:23). The Book of Mormon adds ‘all that we could do [was to] repent of all our sins’ (Alma 24:11). A Book of Mormon prophet named Lehi taught, ‘There is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah’ (2 Nephi 2:8).
