Hi I'm Jenessa Lynne Soutas

I am a lover of music, art, sports, country music, adventure, and I am a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and was taught the gospel by loving parents who are amazing examples to me. I have eight people in my family, and although we may not always get along, and we are not perfect, we still love eachother. I love the outdoors. I love to hike, explore, and go on adventures. I love to be active and play sports. I love running and competing in races because it reminds me of having endurance through our trials in life. I love country music and gospel rock. I love the mountains and finding pretty places to go longboarding and fourwheeling in the summer, and skiing in the winter. I also enjoy drawing, painting, reading, eating, napping, and playing the piano and ukulele! I am a college student, and I just completed my freshman year. I'm leaving on a mission in September 2016!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but now being older, I have developed my own testimony through scripture study, sincere prayer, and spiritual experiences. I have felt the spirit in my life and it has born witness to me that the gospel is true. I am a Mormon because the gospel brings happiness and joy. From it we learn why we came here to Earth, and what we need to do in order to live again with our Heavenly Father. It teaches us that families are eternal. It teaches us that we are loved unconditionally by our Father in Heaven, and our Savior, Jesus Christ, who atoned and died for us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by praying to God everyday. It is important to communicate with Him so that we can come to know Him. He is our Father. I try to serve others by being a friend and helping them feel included and loved. I work with people who have special needs, and I love being with them and serving them. I went on a service trip to the Dominican Republic and helped build a hospital, taught children english, and visisted orphans. I am preparing to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints this September in Independence Missouri, and I am excited to teach people about the gospel and serve them with all my heart, might, mind, and strength!
