Hi I'm Tenille

I grew up LDS, moving around a lot as a kid. Now, I plan to serve a full-time mission in Arizona.

About Me

I love softball, and that was my pride and joy during high school. I lived off of sunflower seeds and gatorade through most of the season. I think the best part was competing with my friends, and the feeling you get from knocking a ball clear out into or past the field. I love socializing with others about literally everything, and I'm usually content with just talking with friends for hours. Making new friends is even better, because then you have this whole other person to break down and get to know.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I would say because of faith. Growing up in the church, I relied on my parents testimonies a lot, and just figured they knew what was best. When I got to my teenage years, I never strayed, but started to ask myself, if it was really worth it. When you hear conversion stories, you hear people talk about how the Book of Mormon was how they were converted and it gave them their answers. The only way I saw that I could find the truth was by reading it. I kept reading every night, praying, and continued my church attendance. Through this my life was easier, and blessed in ways that I couldn't really explain. I know for a fact that this church is true because after showing that I would continue my blind faith in Christ and his church, He blessed me through answering my prayers that this church is true.

How I live my faith

In my church, I am a ward missionary. In this calling, I get to help out the elders and sisters in any way I can. It usually consists of me sitting in meetings with them, driving them to appointments, or sitting in on a lesson for an investigator. It really has helped me grow as an individual, and made me respect the work that every missionary does around the world. I now plan on serving a mission of my own for 18 months, and I can't wait for the experience.
