Hi I'm Jeremy

I'm from Moxee Washington, the hop capitol of the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love running Track and Field! After serving a two year mission for the Mormon church I plan on running track in college. I am a decathlete and especially love the high jump, long jump, and 110 meter high hurdles. I'm not entirely sure of what I want to study in college, but I know that I want to work with people. Hearing stories and working with people to help them makes me feel so good and yes I do like to talk! I have worked as a lifeguard and also have worked on a farm that harvested different fruit, but mainly cherries.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church and yes some may say that it wasn't a choice for me to be a Mormon, but I know that I was put brought to this knowledge of the church for a reason. Every decision that I have made has been easy to make because I know exactly where I stand on things and it keeps question out of my mind. I see so many others that make decisions and get into bad situations because they didn't know where they stood in the first place. Keeping myself on the the straight path to what is right brings me so much joy. I feel peace and happiness when I make a good decision and make someone else feel good in the process. It's hard to admit, but I haven't always made the right decision in life. When I hear the lessons of Jesus Christ and how He loved us so much that He atoned for our sins I know that I can feel okay and know that if I repent with real intent in my heart that I can be forgiven by my Father in Heaven. I couldn't live in this crazy world and do it with as much ease if I didn't have this church to keep me in check. The world has a lot of distractions in it, but I keep in mind my goal to live with my Heavenly Father again. I know without a single doubt in my mind that this church is true because I have asked God if it is and He has answered me through every experience that I've had in my life that it truly is. Everyone deserves to feel the peace and love that I have felt through this blessed faith. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and I know that there is a God in heaven that watches over us and expects us to be the best that we can be. This church has shown me how to do that and has blessed me immensely.

How I live my faith

I have played in many different sports throughout my high school and middle school experience. Always leading my team by working hard and teaching others how that hard work really does pay off. Not only did I teach others about hard work, but I taught them that respect for others and themselves would go a long way. I never drank, smoked, or partied and kept myself from doing anything that would disappoint me or my coaches. This stuck out to a lot of the athletes on my team and they were impressed by my ability to do the right thing. I never boasted about this, but encouraged others to do the same. In my church I was the oldest boy for about 2 and a half years and had to be an example to the other boys to help them fulfill and magnify their callings within our church. Many of them looked up to me and it meant a lot to me that I could help them to grow along with me in maturity and strength in God.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jeremy
Yes, Mormons believe that families can live forever if they follow the teachings of the church and teach their children to do the same. There is a lot of things that God expects from us and when we heed his words and try our best to live in accordance to his laws, then we can live together forever. We believe that we all have the potential to live together, but we must first live in accordance to his laws. Show more Show less
