Hi I'm Mandy

I am from Haiti and currently living in Utah with my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 girls; growing up with my little sisters, I have developed an unconditional love for children and learned how to deal with each kind of them. I paint sometimes and I am interested in fashion and modeling. I am more an outdoors person, I also love languages and would love to speak as many as possible. I love food, are especially my Caribbean food. Diversity makes me happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. But at a really young age, I have seen the marvelous work of God in my family life and a great miracle. I knew then it was the true church with the help a the priesthood blessing and the happiness it brought to me and my family. At a young age, I wanted to serve a mission and share the gospel and the happiness I was fulfilled with. I am so grateful I was raised and kept believing in this Gospel because it, for sure, has spared my life many times and helped me take the best decisions in my life. There's nothing else that can bring more happiness than knowing you are loved by God and that he cared about you enough He sent his only begotten Son to die for us so we can repent from our sins and turn back to Him. There's no greater happiness than knowing we all can live with our Heavenly Father once again if we keep his commandments. I am not a Mormon because my parents are Mormons and made me go to church every Sunday as a child. I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church and what they teach me at church and how I live my life will help me become a queen in my Heavenly Father's kingdom. How much joy is it to know that despite my imperfections, God loves me unconditionally! I love this Gospel and it means absolutely everything to me and I am grateful my parents had made the right decision by joining the church. I bear my testimony that God lives and is watching tenderly over us and is protecting every second. I know we have a living prophet in this latter days to guide us as in the old times. And I know family can be together forever and I'm testifying of the blessing the Temples can bring in our lives, my life.

How I live my faith

The book of Mormon is a great pillar in building my faith and believing that God talks to us through His living prophets. One other thing that makes me live my faith is uplifting others, by fulfilling my call as a visiting teacher. It builds my faith to visit those I am assigned to and listen to their story and how they are dealing with trials. One other thing that helps me is going to the temple and just the feeling I get as I walk through the gates is just amazing. It reminds me how much God loves me enough to share "one tenth" of his paradise with me on earth. Going to church every Sunday and take part of the Sacrament. Sundays at church help me throughout my whole week and trust me, a good Sunday always lead a great week!
