Hi I'm Andrea

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I love music, family history, family, and friends. I love rain and singing, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love classical music, I play piano and sing. I also like popular music. I like to be with friends, exercise, and being outside. I have an older brother and a younger brother, and I love my parents. I love singing songs and harmonizing with my family, and having family gatherings and learning about our ancestors. I work teaching with special needs students and study music education.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the LDS church, but this gospel makes me happier than ever. I often have felt sadness but it has never come to hopelessness because the things I learn about give me excitement for a better future and comfort in my everyday life. I find joy in my God, and friends in my neighbors, and peace in my heart.

How I live my faith

Music to me is a way to share my testimony and how one can pray without words. I had the opportunity to serve as a missionary in England, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria- talking each day to others about Jesus Christ and how he lives. I think visiting people who may be lonely or upset is very meaningful. I love writing thank you notes, or giving people random gifts if I know they are sad. I like singing about our Savior Jesus Christ and about the church, it helps me feel and spread the spirit and the gospel. I like any music with positive lyrics and encourage friends to listen to uplifting tunes and messages. I have played the organ for my ward for a few years, and love to invite friends to familysearch.com to figure out who their ancestors are.

What is the First Vision?

I was able to visit the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, New York. The feeling I had overcame me and I knew that this vision happened and I know that Joseph Smith restored a true gospel in its fullness. Show more Show less

What is the priesthood?

The Priesthood is the power to do service, direct the church, teach, perform ordinances, and bless others in many ways acting in God’s name. The gospel has been restored through this power, which was taken off of the earth after Christ and His apostles were killed. It was restored through Joseph Smith along with the fullness of the gospel, which was and is required to have the gospel on earth. I am so grateful for the power of God and how it has blessed my life. Show more Show less
