Hi I'm Larry

I was born, raised, and have lived my life in Utah. I'm married with 4 kids. Enjoy yard work and motorcycle rides.

About Me

I love the outdoors and physical activities. I've participated in 2 full Ironman triathalons, have ran a number of marathons, rode my motorcycle to 49 States in the USA (one trip was to the lower 48 states in 10 days with my brother. I enjoy camping and love to travel seeing new places with my wife. I am retired, have 4 married children, and 5 grandchildren. I love hearing the the words "papa" which my grand kids call me. I love old classic cars and listening to music from the 1950's.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was baptized at age 8 and have been actively engaged since then. My testimony that I belong to the true Church of Jesus Christ has come to me over the years as I've lived by its precepts and have received a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true. I feel so blessed to have a Heavenly Father that I can go to in prayer and receive guidance and answers. I know I am His son, I belong to Him. I love the opportunity on this earth to serve Him by serving and caring for others. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God (I can't put this book down, I read it daily, I continue to read it over and over), translated by Joseh Smith, who I know was called to bring about the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in these the latter days. I know that families can be together forever, sealed together for the eternities. I know this is possible because the priesthood to seal on earth and heaven was restored to the Prophet Joseph Smith and that power is held by a living prophet today. This knowledge takes away the sting of death, and brings me great comfort in knowing I will see, live with, and be with my family forever. So wonderful. I bear witness that Jesus Christ lives, the tomb is empty, his heart and arms are open to receive us as we do are best to follow His teachings. So grateful for His sacrifice in my behalf. I pray my gratitude is shown in my actions to follow Him.

How I live my faith

From September 2016 to August 2018 my wife and I will be saving as missionaries in The Illionois Nauvoo Mission. This is something we've always wanted to do and are excited to go, even though we will dearly miss our family. I served a 2 year mission as a young man to the Cebu Phillippines Mission, I grew to love the country, the people, and my Savior as I shared a message of hope, love and the opportunity for families to be eternal. I love to look for opportunities to serve, it helps me feel good and brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
