Hi I'm Cassandra

I'm an engineering student. I'm a violinist. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Albuquerque, NM. I'm a college student now and I'm studying chemical engineering. I love math and science! I have also played the violin for many years and am very passionate about music. I put green chile on just about all of my favorite foods, with the exception of cereal, which, if we're honest, I eat more than anything else as a college student :)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm an adult now and continue in my faith, because I've learned for myself that this is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. I could not go through this life and its challenges without the knowledge that I'm blessed to have. I know that we are all literal children of our Heavenly Father, and He loves us so much. We lived with Him before we came here, and He wants us back. He made that possible by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to sacrifice his life as an atonement for each and every one of us. That Atonement makes it possible for us to become clean from our sins and progress to become better every day. I could not go through life without knowing and remembering what my Savior, Jesus Christ did for me. God also loves us so much that He brought back His true, complete, gospel to the earth through the prophet, Joseph Smith 200 years ago. I know that this is Christ's church, and I'm grateful for it every day of my life.

How I live my faith

Faith is a way of life! So much of life's joy comes from our relationships with other people. I love being with my family as much as possible. I also cherish the friendships I have, and I'm so grateful for the people that God has placed in my life. This past summer 2016, I worked as an Especially For Youth (EFY) counselor. EFY is a youth camp designed to point teenagers ages 14-18 toward Jesus Christ. I loved it! It was one of the greatest experiences of my life thus far. This rising generation is amazing.
