Hi I'm Devin

I have lived in Utah all my life. I play the Guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old. Going to be serving in the Mexico Saltillo Mission in November. I graduated High School. I run and play the guitar. I currently install Vinyl Fences. And that is currently the extent of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have lived in Utah all of my life. I have always grown up with the Church in my home and with most of my extended Family. Ever since I was young I have known the Church was true. When I was about 14 years old I was struggling with things that I knew I shouldn't have been doing and trying to feel like I belonged somewhere in the world. I felt hopeless and insignificant. I didn't think that I mattered to anyone. Not to my family, my friends, even God, and myself. Toward the end of that year of Junior High things seemed as if they were looking up. Then it came crashing down as my Family decided to move to a little place called Salem which I didn't know anything about. We moved in just in time that I was invited to participate in a special youth activity that was called "Exodus." It is similar to a pioneer trek where you pull handcarts but that's about it. You didn't dress like a pioneer and focus on the struggles of the pioneers. Instead we were asked to focus on ourselves in God's eyes and find our own individual worth and feel the spirit and come to know of God's love for each of His children, especially ourselves. Throughout that experience I was able to have a real desire to change and felt the Spirit which I hadn't for a while. Since then my life has been blessed as I strive to live the Gospel and keep the commandments and do the things I have been taught and know are true and correct. I have a sure Testimony and know the Church is true and that God loves each and every one of us, is aware of us, and will hear and answer our prayers, even though it may not be how and when we expect it.

How I live my faith

I have had the opportunity to serve in various youth leadership positions at my church. I just recently was called as a Sunday School Teacher and now teach the 15 to 16 year old youth at my Church. I like to attend the Temple frequently with my friends and siblings. I also have been attending a Mission Preparation class to help me prepare for my Mission in Mexico.
