Hi I'm Sister-Marlee Jones

I grew up in Northern Virginia. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am currently a missionary for the church. Before my mission I went to BYU Idaho for three years studying buisness managment with an emphasis in marketing.

Why I am a Mormon

I may have grown up in the church, but I have my own solid testimony. At a youth trip nearly 10 years ago, I began to read the Book of Mormon for myself. As I read I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God.

How I live my faith

I am currently a Missionary serving in the Montana, Billings Mission. Every hour of every day is dedicated to the Lord to help people come unto Him and help them realize that He is the Savior. However we follow the law of agency, where everyone has there own right to choose whether or not to follow Christ.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Sister-Marlee Jones
A very fundamental principle of our church is that we encourage everyone to find out for themselves. Throughout the whole Book of Mormon, we are invited to ask for ourselves if the book is true. At the very end of the Book of Mormon, the last prophet Moroni says "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things (Moroni 10:4-5). No one can tell you if the church is true, only God can. God does answer prayers, and He has told millions of people that the Book of Mormon is true. Show more Show less
