Hi I'm Daria

I grew up in Russia. Moved to Norway. Halfway through medical school. I'm a mormon, soon to be serving a mission.

About Me

When people ask me if I'm russian or norwegian I often say both. I like to consider myself as a world citizen. I love travelling. I love spending time with my family and my friends. I love being a medical student. I love creating art. I love life. Almost halfway through medical school I realized that I wanted to serve a mission. I'm loving the decision I've made.

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was baptised in the Church when she was 18 years old. I was born and raised in the Church in Russia. Me and my mom are the only Church members in our familiy there. Although my mom and my teachers in Church taught me a lot about the gospel, both through the scriptures, and their examples, it was my decision to make. It was only when I truly understood the importance of God and His plan for us that my testimony and my faith started growing for real. Of course I did not understand everything right away, it took time, and I'm still learning. For me it all comes down to understanding my true potential as a daughter of God, a daughter of a Heavenly King. Through experience, prayer, and study I have come to understand that He knows best. He sees our eternal potential. I trust Him and I trust in Him. He loves us so much that He chose to send His Only Begotten, His perfect Son to this earth to suffer for us. And His perfect Son was willing to do so because of love. This gospel, this message that we, mormons, share, is a message of eternal and incomprehensible love. When I follow the commandments and the guidelines from the scriptures, and our prophets, that is when I feel closer to feeling and understanding that love. It all makes more sense. That is why I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently I am a Primary teacher, I teach children between ages of 9-11. This year we've had the opportunity to learn about the Book of Mormon. I'm almost certain that I learn as much from the children as they learn from me.
