Hi I'm Katey Workman

I am from Michigan and Hawaii. I love food. I love watching the Olympics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University studying Human Development and English. I am a big fan of basketball, football, baseball and soccer. The Olympics are a bit of an obsession of mine every 4 years, and a bucket-list item is definitely to go one day. I love pesto, and chimichangas, oh man. Photography? well, I try. I have spent most of my life in good-'ol Michigan, but my family is from Hawaii, and it feels so like home there in a million ways. I've got a big crazy family-- 7 kids-- and I love every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because in the life I've led thus far the Gospel of Jesus Christ works better than anything I've experienced in making me happy, in making my family close, in motivating me to serve those around me. The Gospel helps me to treat others as divine and important Sons and Daughters of a loving Heavenly Father with infinite worth. The Gospel gives my life purpose and deep meaning.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by taking special care in my relationships with my family members. I try to act in a Christ-like way-- caring, forgiving, patient, feeling their happiness and their miseries. I try to live my faith by being happy and kind to those around me. At this point in my life I have chosen to serve a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to live and share my faith with others in order that, if they wish, they can experience the same deep and abiding joy that I have felt as a result of living the Gospel.
