Hi I'm Ryan

I grew up in the Central Valley of California. I enjoy German, Calligraphy, and IT Forensics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a Mission in Utah, whereafter I plan to study Computer Forensics at Brigham Young University Provo (also in Utah). I enjoy the German Language, the Art of Writing, and playing many types of Flutes including the Recorder and Tin whistle. I once went on a trip to Germany to better understand the language, customs, and history. I enjoyed the sights, food and the courtesy of the people. I have also learned in the past few months several new calligraphic methods and write Fraktur very well. I plan to write music in the near future.

Why I am a Mormon

From the beginning, I have always known in my heart that there was more to life than what it seemed. That life held more than just existing, it had a purpose. The gospel of Jesus Christ explains this purpose and many more questions I have regarding my Identity as an individual and community member, what I need to do to find happiness in this life and the life to come.

How I live my faith

I believe in leading by example and since my faith is built upon the foundation of Jesus's teaching I use Him as a role model. He served others and in my life, I have served both God and country. I am an Eagle Scout, a member of the OA and I have served in leadership positions within youth organizations in church. I have helped organize service projects in our community working to clean neighborhoods and assist the elderly. While in high school, I donated my time after school to teach others about robotics and computer skills as well as fundraising for our local women's shelter and hospital patients. One thing I have enjoyed is visiting the people in convalescent facilities. They always have great stories which teach me life lessons. They are always happy to see people and since they are alone, they truly value family and take you in as one of theirs. I have found that as I serve others, my faith is strengthened and my love for others grows.
