Hi I'm Ashley Callister

I grew up in Utah. I love running, playing music, and being a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy doing things outdoors such as running, biking, and hiking. I also play several instruments including the flute, piccolo, piano, and tenor saxophone. In high school I was president / captain of 5 different clubs. I like to be involved and I like to be busy. Right now I am preparing to serve a mission in Florida, and I can't wait to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of this church my entire life. However, this church had little importance to me until my junior year in high school, and that's because I didn't know much. I rarely prayed and I never read my scriptures. I would try to skip church and I disliked seminary. However, my junior year in seminary, we were challenged to read the entire Doctrine and Covenants. I like a good challenge. So I accepted and I read. I found so many things in there that were just amazing! I began to listen more in church and seminary and I began to study much more. I began to pray several times every day. I learned so many things from my study that I just wanted to share what I knew with everyone around me! I get excited whenever I learn something new and I want everyone to know what I know. I know this gospel is true. I know that our trials are for our growth. I know the importance of the Atonement of Christ. I know that if we do whats right we can live with our families forever. I love this church and I love this gospel and our loving Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

I have held several callings in church. I started out as beehive class president and moved my way up to Laurel class president over the years. After graduating, I was released from that calling and called to serve in the library. Every Sunday I go to early morning mission prep, then to church. On Tuesdays and Thursdays I go to institute classes and learn more about the gospel.
