Hi I'm Laura

I have grown up trying every sport and club. I have learned to always give my all in everything I do. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have only one older brother to add to my family. I have completed one year of formal education in Utah. I have both parents in Idaho, though divorced. I have a very close relationship with my family. It wasn't until after my parents split that I was able to make my own choices and fall into the path Heavenly Father wants me to follow. It didn't happen at the drop of the hat there were many days I didn't want to do it anymore. There still are days circumstances feel overwhelming and there are always going to be days this way. Along the way it was Heavenly Father strengthening my testimony to squash out any doubt. I also grew up doing many sports from soccer to volley ball and even lacrosse. I tried something new almost every year. I also always loved unwinding my days doing something recreational like fishing or hunting with my dad. I've always wanted adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because despite many difficulties I've faced in my life in a round about way I always ended up at the steps of church no matter what. It has broughten many blessings and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I always try being the best version of myself by treating others with the respect and kindness they all deserve. This doesn't go without saying there are times it is difficult to be the strong one who is always willing to lend a helping hand. I myself have felt at times being part of Relief Society my freshman year of college was a bit challenging. People always coming to ask questions and or confide in me. Many times I didn't have any straight answer being so new living on my own and in this position, just as many others were. I just remember to take a step back and try to lead with the spirit of Christ.

What is the Relief Society?

The purpose of Relief Society is to create an environment where sisters may find physical and emotional refuge from the world. It is a goal to make sisters feel they always have someone to turn to in time of need. It is organized in such a way so that no one feels left behind but has space to come forward and talk to anyone if needed. Many of these instances are kept confidential to the Relief Society council and any proper priesthood brethren. Show more Show less
