Hi I'm Elizabeth Aluesi

I live in Portland, Oregon and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am current student at BYU-Idaho, but I have decided to take a break from school to serve and LDS mission. My major is social work, and I am not quiet sure what I want to do with that, but I am excited to apply for the program when I return from my mission. The reason I chose social work is due to the fact that every community needs improvement. Families are important to me and one way I believe we can strengthen families is by having a strong community to support them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I am happy in this Gospel. I know for a fact that every principle and doctrine taught in the church is given to us by leaders who were inspired by God. The Gospel teaching provides me with the full knowledge of who I am, where I came from, and where I will be going here and in the after life.

How I live my faith

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is charitable, and that is exactly what Christ was all about. We are not perfect, but we can strive to become perfect like Christ. One way I have lived the gospel is by serving others. I have had "callings" or a responsibility to love and care for my young women peers while I was in my teens. As you can imagine, this was a big calling. I loved every moment of it, because I got to see the value of God's daughters. Being able to help them has built strong relationships that have lasted. They weren't just girls in my church. They were and are my sisters.
