Hi I'm Allison

I grew up in Ohio. I graduated high school in China. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just weird. :) I love to read and write, fiction and mysteries are my favorites! I enjoy doing anything outside, such as four wheeling, fishing, horseback riding, camping, etc. Dancing, singing, playing the piano are also activities that I enjoy. I'm attending college, and I'm loving every moment of it! I moved around when I was young, but lived in the same place for years, until we moved my Senior year of high school. But everything worked out and I had a fantastic Senior Year!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I truly love it. I was raised in the church since I was born, but that did;t mean I never struggled with my own testimony. I have had my faith tried many times, and have found that each and every time, when I turn to the scriptures, I find the answers I am looking for. They don't always just turn up the moment I start reading. I have to be looking for the answers, trying to find them, most of the time. But they are always there. The Book of Mormon has molded my life and I am eternally grateful to have it, and know of its truths. I have learned the truth of this Gospel, and that it really is the only way to true happiness and peace. I continue to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because I know that on my own, I cannot make it back to Heavenly Father. It is only through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that we can, once again, be home in the presence of our Father. Christ truly is the light and the way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, especially being out at college, by not only following the rules and curfews set by campus, but also by just keeping an eye out for chances to serve other people. There is always something you can do to help, though it may seem small or unimportant. I also work with the activities committee to plan activities for the ward and play piano for one of the church meetings!
