Hi I'm Katelyn St.Gelais

My heart is full of love for the country. Country music, country dancing, and country songs! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a city girl with a country heart. I love everything from my cowboy boots to my knives. Country music is my favorite genre, and country swing dancing is the best kind of exercise. I am also an athlete. Track and Field is my passion. In high school, I had to work ever so hard on breaking our school record in High Jump, and after four years, I was able to finally do so. I love talking to anyone and everyone!

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a convert. I was born into the church. When I was little, I didn't have much of a choice to go to church or not. Now that I am older and have come to understand the gospel of Jesus Christ, I choose to go. Heavenly Father loved us so much, that he sent his actual son to earth to die for us. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice when he knelt down in the Garden of Gethsemane and bled from every pore. He took the sins of the entire human race upon him so we, as imperfect as we are, may be able to live with the Father once again in perfect glorified bodies. He loves and knows each and every one of us individually. Of all his miracals, the most incredible would be the miracle that rescues you and me.

How I live my faith

I had the opportunity to serve in what is called the Youth Council. We would met every week for a couple hours and plan different activities or the youth to do.As the head Co-Chairman of the Youth Council, I was fortunate enough to lead most all of the meetings and have the deciding factor on activities. This responsibility allowed me to realize all the love I had for all of the wonderful youth in our stake. They are truly amazing young men and young women. I am now currently serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am humbled to be able to serve the amazing people of the Philippines and I look forward to bringing souls unto Christ.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Katelyn St.Gelais
When our prophet dies, the new prophet is chosen through the seniority of the twelve apostles. However, it is not simply just a couple hours of ceremony deal. The apostle with the most seniority is prayed about and through divine revelation,is anointed to be the next true and living prophet. Show more Show less
