Hi I'm Colby

I grew up in Utah. I have been called to serve as a missionary in Uganda. I love cars and running. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Colby McLain. I am 18 years old. I was born and raised in Provo, Utah. I love building things with my hands and working on cars. I like to run and play golf in my free time. I graduated from high school in 2016 from Timpview High in Provo, Utah. I played for the golf team and ran for the cross country team. I love to ski in the winter. My favorite food is a classic burger and some fries. I have been called as a missionary for the LDS church in Uganda. I leave in October of 2016 and I couldn't be more excited. I love the church and love everything that has come of being a member.

Why I am a Mormon

Many times in my life I have asked myself this same question. Why am I a Mormon? Then I am reminded every single day, because I am the happiest I can be when I am in the service of my God and church. The happiest memories in my life are times spent with the youth in my ward on adventurous trips, or sitting in Sunday school. I love to learn about the gospel by studying the scriptures and have come to realize that the scriptures are the most truthful and amazing words. They answer every question you can have and at times of sadness and confusion, I know I can turn to the scriptures and find answers. Feeling the spirit is one of the greatest feelings I have felt. During testimony meetings and times of service, I can feel the spirit so strong and there is so much joy in that feeling. I love the church so much. It brings true happiness to my life and I am grateful for it every single day.

How I live my faith

There are many ways that I live my faith. I attend mutual every Wednesday night with the youth in my ward. We usually play games or get ice cream. Anything to bring us closer together. I love my ward and the youth in it.
