Hi I'm Victoria Ricketts

I'm from Canton, Ohio. I am serving in the Utah Logan mission. I go to school at Southern Virginia University. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old. I was born into the church, but my mom is a convert. I am a music major at Southern Virginia University, and I hope to become a music therapist. I love playing my flute, reading, serving, and talking to people. Currently, my job is babysitting and I love the kids I am with! I'm excited to have my own family one day and help my children come closer to Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and learning about the gospel. But as I lived in gospel and applied what I learned to my life, I gained my own testimony of the truth. The stronger my testimony grew, the more I wanted to do what is right and share what I knew with others. As I have come closer to Christ, I have found more joy in my life, even when there are trials. Life isn't meant to be perfect. It's not going to be easy all of the time. But because of my knowledge in Jesus Christ and His plan, trials become easier to handle. I love being a Mormon. I know that I have been blessed so much because of my faith.

How I live my faith

I work with the young children in nursery. While the lessons we teach are brief, it is great to see even our youngest children start to learn about the Savior. I also teach with the sister missionaries as much as I can to prepare myself for my own 18 month mission. I am excited to serve the people of Utah daily on my mission.
