Hi I'm Rider Hoffman

I grew up in Colorado. I am going to school to be a speech therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite hobby is laughing, if you can forget about the big problems in your life and just laugh you can be so much happier. I'm currently going to school to become a speech therapist and hope to be able to work in an elementary school after I graduate.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and have always known it was true, that never was a question to me. But when I was 17, I kind of hit a slump in my spiritual progression and desire and I was constantly unhappy. I was either angry or sad all the time and I felt like happiness was unattainable. One night I reached my breaking point and prayed to know how I could be happy because I was so tired of feeling sad all the time. I highlighted everywhere in the Book of Mormon the word "happy" was used so that I could try and model my life after those people who had the real and lasting happiness I was desperately desired. And the answer I received that night was that the only way I could be truly happy was if I kept the commandments. I knew that God was aware of me, He knew what I was going through and He wanted more than anything for me to happy but I had to make the choice myself. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the source of real and lasting happiness. I know this church is true and I know that God is aware of our needs and wants to help us if we just ask for His help.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a full a time mission for the church. This gospel means so much to me and brings me so much happiness that I want to be able to share it with everyone and give them the opportunity to experience the happiness this gospel can bring to their lives.
