Hi I'm Landon

I live in Texas. I enjoy music, sports, and camping. I'm preparing to serve a two-year full-time mission in Osorno, Chile.

About Me

I have just graduated high school. My favorite memories were as a two-year drum major in a large marching band. I also played french horn, and I have a deep appreciation for music. I enjoy playing sports, and you can usually find me at a gym or park playing football or basketball with friends. When I can, I like to go camping and hiking. I enjoy being outdoors when the Texas heat is bearable. Currently, I am preparing to serve a two-year full-time mission in Chile. Afterward, I'll be attending Brigham Young University to study physics.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because here in Christ's Church I see Him everywhere. He's in the hearts of the members, the selflessness of the service given, and the spirit of the meetings. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and I have prayed to know of its reality and truth. Heavenly Father has answered my prayers, giving me a testimony of its validity and goodness. Nothing has brought me closer to Christ than the Book of Mormon, and everything in it points to Him, His love, and His selfless sacrifice. Because I see Him in this church, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary here at home in my local area. I visit with members of the community and teach them about Jesus Christ and share my testimony of His love, His reality, and His great sacrifice for us. I try to live my faith in my daily actions and in how I treat my family, friends, and co-workers. I try to see them as fellow children of God, and I try to emulate Heavenly Father's love for them. Living my faith sometimes requires bold action, but most of the time it is in the little ways that I try to be more like Christ.
