Hi I'm Alec Thomas Spottiswood

Currently serving in Fort Lauderdale, Florida speaking Haitian Creole. Born and raised in Maryland near DC.

About Me

Grew up in Maryland I was active in the Boy Scouts and outdoors. My first year of college was spent at Utah valley U. studying generals while spending my time outside of class either skiing or rock climbing. Currently serving in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission speaking Haitian Creole.

Why I am a Mormon

In my senior year of High School, I lost my father to cancer. The experience was shattering, I could not comprehend why these things would occur to me. Yet an understanding of the Atonement of the Son of God pulled me from the devastating state. The gift of eternal families strengths my belief that our Heavenly Father wises for us to return unto Him. Knowledge that I will live with my family for eternity is blissful and marvelous. By Christ's sacrifice I am given the opportunity to repent of my actions and become wholesome through His teachings. The restored gospel through the prophet Joseph Smith by the priesthood brings undeniable truth that God lives, he speaks to us trough His chosen prophets and apostles, and the scriptures are His word.

How I live my faith

The Savior while on earth was selfless and constantly served others, I strive to follow His example. By lending others a hand, a ear to listen or even a joke to brighten the mood. A smile goes a long way. As I am currently serving a mission, my purpose is to allow others to receive Christ into their lives.
