Hi I'm Emily Chambers

I grew up in Utah. I love being out in nature. I love experiencing new things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I finished my Junior year of college. I am majoring in dietetics. I love doing things outside and spending time with family and friends. I have been called to serve a mission in the Philippines Quezon City Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up in a strong Mormon home, I had to gain a testimony for myself. It has been a slow process, but I have come to know that Jesus in my Savior. He loves me and each and every person. He is the only person who knows perfectly everything I feel. He wants to help me become my best self. Knowing I can repent and be washed clean from my sins gives me hope and encouragement to try to be more like Christ each day. I know that we have a living prophet, called of God, who receives revelation for the Church. I am so grateful for the role the Savior plays in my life to help me see the person I can become.

How I live my faith

The most basic way I live my faith is by striving each day to develop a stronger relationship with my Savior. One of the best ways to learn of Christ is to serve His children. I have had the opportunity to teach children in my ward, which is the best! This opportunity to learn how to teach them what they need as children helps me experience how Jesus feels about them. Another way I serve is through visiting teaching. It gives me the chance to create lasting friendships with other women in my ward and see them through God's eyes. I am now serving a full-time mission so that I can serve the Lord and the people in the Philippines. I love the hope, peace, and perspective that the Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought to my life, and I want others to discover that for themselves.
