Hi I'm Patty

I grew up in the United States. Mother of 8. I am a Mormon

About Me

I have 8 children and 25 grandchildren. I love to make cards and scrapbook. One of my favorite jobs I have had is driving school bus. I like to travel and see new things. For our 30th anniversary, my husband took me to England to see where my grandmother grew up; A highlight of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

Before I was born, my parents converted to the church so I was baptized when I was 8 years old. Over the course of my life, I tried to read the Book of Mormon but never really got through it. I went to church but I think I just went through the motions. I really felt God's love later in my life when I experienced a hard trial. Looking back over my life, I can see that His hand was in my life the whole time, protecting me, guiding me, blessing me. I love my Savior. I am grateful for what He has done for me. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I have now read it many times and I am always amazed that I learn something new every time. I know Heavenly Father loves me and I don't want to be a disappointment to Him so I try to be want He wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I teach a 10 year old Sunday school class in my ward. This year we are studying the Book of Mormon. I love reading the Book of Mormon as it helps me to feel the spirit and to figure out answers when I have problems in my life. The gospel gives me purpose and helps me to understand what was before this life, why I am here on earth, and where I will go when I die. Knowing this helps me to try and make better choices.
