Hi I'm Spencer Hahne

I am a ballroom dancer, soccer, tennis and volleyball player. I am a Mormon

About Me

I am sports-oriented and outdoorsy. I love to play volleyball, soccer, tennis, run cross country, and do ballroom dance. I have completed a 4 day hike of Kings Peak. I will be attending Southern Utah University in the fall of 2018. There, I hope to be on the volleyball or tennis team, or compete in ballroom dance. My plan is to take classes to reach my goal to become an athletic trainer, and minor in Spanish so I may become fluent in the language. I love to listen to Panic at the Disco, and Owl City, and many more bands. I value my friends and family very much and above all, my God.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a family that is active in the church. I have been a member my whole life, although I had periods of time where I doubted my faith, and was confused about if I should still be active in my faith once I am living on my own. I then thought a lot about my motives, and what things are really true. After a lot of prayer and sticking with the church, even though it was difficult at times, I have come to the knowledge of the amount of happiness that the gospel, and this church, really does bring me. I have found the motivation for myself to keep living the gospel, and I am most happy when I do. I am now serving a mission because I want to share the gospel with others, so they and their families can be eternally happy.

How I live my faith

I participated in many camps and activities with the young men in my ward, and we performed a lot of service activities. I am currently serving a full-time mission in Rochester, New York, where all my time is devoted to serving God by serving those who I come in contact with, and bringing them closer to Christ through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How are the activities of the Mormon missionaries funded?

Spencer Hahne
Missionary work has to be paid for somehow, right? The finances required for a mission are paid for by the missionary and his/her family. This is why we say we are "Serving" a mission. We voluntarily pay for expenses of our mission. We do this because we know the happiness that the gospel will bring to people's lives and we desire to share the knowledge that we have with them, in hopes that they will come to understanding and take part in this happiness by coming closer to Christ and developing a closer relationship with God.
