Hi I'm Ken

I grew up in Richfield, Utah. I served an LDS mission to Finland. I am retired. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for over 46 years. I have 10 children and 41 grandchildren. I like to travel and see new places as well as to visit family. I like to watch movies, but seldom watch TV. I worked as an engineer for the local telephone company and retired from there several years ago after working for them 33 years. I like to take day trips to see and explore local scenery.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born to parents who were already members of the LDS Church (Mormons). But despite that fact there came a time in my life when I had to make a decision to live the gospel as is outlined by our Savior in the scriptures. In other words, I had to become converted. The teachings of our Savior, if lived, can bring us joy and happiness in this life and in the life to come. That is why I'm a Mormon. The Book of Mormon, which is a second testament that Jesus is the Christ, tells of Christ visiting the inhabitants of America after his death and resurrection. It contains the fullness of the gospel and can help us understand His teachings. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of god. This knowledge came to me through reading and studying and praying about the book. Everyone who reads and prays about the Book of Mormon with an honest intent can gain this same testimony that it is true. I know that Jesus has restored His true church upon the earth in these last days. This event is proph

How I live my faith

I like to be involved. I am currently a member of the local school board, a position I have held for nearly 11 years. I like to be involved in my church and have worked with the youth in scouting and other activities. More recently I have been working with the adult members of my church. I enjoy visiting some of the widows in the ward and helping out where I can. I have now been called on a mission with my wife and I enjoy meeting people and talking with them. I enjoy sharing my beliefs with others and telling them why the gospel makes me so happy. Many people are happy in their lives and I like to tell them how they can have more joy in living.
