Hi I'm Jessica Starta

I'm a military brat. I've been born and raised into the LDS Church. I'm soon to be a missionary in St. George, UT.

About Me

I am the youngest in my family. Music has always been a big part of my life. I love to listen to music, to sing, and to dance. I also love to cook; I'm always trying out new recipes that I find on Facebook. I'm a big fan of reading. I love watching and playing sports. I love and have been around animals my whole life. I completed 1 year of college and after my 18 month mission for the church, I plan on going back to school. My family and friends are the most important thing in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the religion makes sense. It's revolves around the idea of families and how we can be together forever, even after this life. How wonderful it is to be able to be with loved ones and to know them after this life! Being part of this religion gives me such joy and comfort. My dad, actually is a convert, he was a Catholic. My mom is born and raised in the Church. For me to have a family member not to be born into the religion and to grow up knowing the story of his conversion helped with my belief. I have gained my own knowledge of the truthfulness of this religion and am thankful that I have decided to go on a mission, so that maybe I will help out someone like my dad.

How I live my faith

I was born and raised into the LDS Church and growing up in it I have been able to see how my friends who are not members struggle with situations while my friends and I who are members don't struggle with the same situations. I live my faith by trying to be an example at all times. You never know who is watching and might be affected by my actions. I live my standards, I defend my standards, I know that they are there to protect us. I have been blessed to have friends and their family to trust me just because of this religion. It truly has blessed me and my family. I couldn't imagine how my life would be without the Church.
