Hi I'm Victor Lava

I grew up in the Philippines. I am a missionary. I am an aspiring nurse. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints currently serving at the Philippines Cebu East Mission. I am the only LDS in my family, which is a bit of a struggle. I am attending Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am to be the greatest and most caring nurse one day.

Why I am a Mormon

The Mormon church gives my life a new light that I have never experienced before. When things are going down, and dirt gets in my face, I know that there will always be a God that loves me. I always know that there are ward members that are always there to pick me back up. The difference that the gospel has in my life is extraordinary. I am more confident that I am a valuable individual. I am a choice son of my Father in heaven. The feeling of knowing that I am loved even though all I see is darkness is something irreplaceable.

How I live my faith

Being a missionary called to serve in the Philippines, I teach and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to others. I used to be a ward missionary, and taught a gospel principles calls during Sunday school. After that calling, I became a part of my next ward's activities coordination committee. While serving this calling, I had the opportunity to plan the activities that the ward was going to have.
