Hi I'm Katie Manning

I grew up in Kent, Washington. I love to read, sing, hike, watch movies, and try new things!

About Me

Seattle has my heart. I'm obsessed with musical theater. I attended BYU-Idaho for 2 semesters. I want to be a pediatric nurse. I am currently serving a mission in Colorado, Fort Collins & I couldn't be happier!

Why I am a Mormon

At first I was a Mormon because my parents were devout members of the church. But as I grew older I knew I had to figure out for myself if being a Mormon was what I wanted. I continued to go to church, read scriptures, and pray for answers. I didn't have any big, miraculous conversion, I just knew in my heart that this church and the people in it, made me happy. It provided a solid foundation for me to build my life on. It gave my life structure, meaning, and a purpose. And I think that's what a lot of people are missing in the world today.

How I live my faith

I mostly live my faith through example. I try to be kind to everyone I meet and I avoid things that could hurt my body or spirit such as drugs & alcohol. I have also volunteered to serve as a full-time missionary for the next year and a half of my life.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Katie Manning
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that families can be together forever. Families are central to God's plan for our happiness and growth here on earth. Families teach us, love us, help us through hard times and can make us truly happy. Show more Show less
