Hi I'm Elder Stauffer

I'm from Utah, I am a trumpet player who enjoys cycling and I am a missionary in Colorado.

About Me

I have been playing the trumpet for almost 7 years, I enjoy cycling, canyoneering, hiking and photography. Once I return from my mission I will attend Snow College.

Why I am a Mormon

While I have never had an overwhelmingly powerful spiritual experience, I know that I have felt the Spirit and through that Spirit I have felt God's love. I know of no other explanation for those feelings and experiences that I have had except that they must have come from a loving God. I have also seen the incredible power that the priesthood has. I know that God gives a great blessing to those who have the priesthood and He expects a lot in return. I try my hardest to help people through this gift and responsibility that I have been given. While I still have many fears, doubts, and unanswered questions, I will continually strive to be a disciple of Christ because I know I have felt His presence and I wish to return to him and have everlasting joy.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by sacrificing two years of my life to God and His Son Jesus Christ because even though it is difficult, it will allow God to change me into the man that I need to be to best help my future family. Spreading the happiness of the Gospel is key to the salvation of the world, so I am going forth to help God change the lives of others as He has changed mine.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Elder Stauffer
No. Polygamy is not a Mormon practice. While there have been times throughout history when the Lord has us commanded us to practice polygamy for various reasons it is no longer practiced by the Mormon Church. Show more Show less
