Hi I'm Mason Cottrell

I'm a Texan. Collector of funky socks. Love basketball and family. Oh I sing too. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate. I love hanging out with friends and family. I am a huge sports fan. I used to play basketball and I continue to play it every chance I get. Singing is my main hobby now as I have been heavily involved with school choirs since elementary school. I am about to be a full time missionary and after attend college.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the hope it brings. I was born into this church. I did not discover it. I've always known this church. And I see the hope it brings. Through all the trials I've experienced in my life, unemployment, moving ten times, the death of loved ones, trouble at school, surgeries, loss of friends, and all the little bumps along the way, I have always had a strong sense of optimism. I know without a shadow of a doubt that my faith is the reason of that optimism. People notice that about me. Being a Mormon, for me, means there is light at the end of a tunnel. Our Heavenly Father is always there to reassure me of that. I am never alone. That is why I am a Mormon. I know Jesus Christ atoned for all our sins. He knows all the pains I face. He knows all the pains you have faced. He loves me as much as he loves every soul who has walked this earth. My faith is my rock.

How I live my faith

I am a ward missionary for my church. I assist the full time missionaries and help those interested in our church. A responsibility I have as a ward missionary is o teach a Sunday school class to those who aren't very familiar with the basic principles of the LDS faith.
