Hi I'm Chelsie

I grew up in Utah. I have recently been called to serve as a full-time missionary for the church of Jesus Christ. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently completed my first year at college! While there I discovered many hidden interests of mine: Math, Biology, and Computer Science. I also enjoy reading books, decorating cakes, playing the viola, rock climbing, and ice skating.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I was taught the truths of this gospel, however, that does not mean I have not had to learn for myself if I believed the doctrines of this church. I don't know that I can identify a single moment when I knew this church was true, but it was as I did the little things - going to church, reading my scriptures, and saying my prayers - that I knew that this church is true. I am converted a little more every day as I do these things. As I have said my prayers and asked my Father in Heaven for guidance, he has provided answers and help. As I have kept the commandments and done my best everyday, I have felt of His spirit. I have found peace through the Savior and His Atonement. I have come to know for myself as I have read the Book of Mormon that the scriptures are true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in my church. In the past I have taught the youth as well as planned service activities for my ward. One thing I remember well doing is helping coordinate volunteers for blood-drives for the ward I was in at the time. It was amazing to realize how much work went into organizing and getting volunteers for those events as well as hearing stories of those that were helped through this service. Service has been, throughout my life, a key way of showing my faith. Through serving others I can show my gratitude for all that the Savior has done for me. Whether it is serving those who are struggling financially or helping my neighbor in hard-times, or even just being a friend to all those around me, when I am serving others I know I am serving God.
