Hi I'm Ricky

I'm a mormon that grew up in the church, and I grew up in Washington. I'm beginning my mission in October 2016.

About Me

I'm a very active person that loves animals and the outdoors. My favorite sport is soccer, and I absolutely love robotics. I have a general interest in pretty much everything as I love learning. I am very approachable, and I usually can strike up conversation with anyone at any time. I'm the youngest of five, and my two sisters are the oldest followed by us three boys. Although I very much enjoy the outdoors, and all its activities, I consider myself a video game nerd (mostly League of Legends).

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but I don't think I ever really decided that I wanted to actually BE a mormon until I was in 10th grade. I wanted to find out what Heavenly Father had in store for me as I strived to follow his commandments. It took me a long time to even realize that I have a testimony, and it wasn't until I had actually began to pray on my own and search for answers that I really discovered that I had a testimony. I strongly believe that prayers are answered and are essential to our communication with God, and it's how we can know the questions we have that only He can know and answer. Though the biggest reason for me being mormon, is that the assurance of knowing that I can be with my family for eternity is so precious to me. I love my family so, so much, and I don't know what I would do without them. So knowing that I can be with them again for eternity after death is just the best thing in the world for me. I also love that I can be with my future wife and children forever as well since that is very important to me. I want to have kids, and I know that I will be able to be with them and my wife for eternity. I'm always learning every day about the things of God and His gospel. I've never stopped learning, and I don't intend to ever stop learning.

How I live my faith

Currently I am just a member of the church, but I received my mission call a short while ago. I always try to be an example for other people at and outside of church so that people will understand that LDS church members are not bad people. If there is ever someone that needs help, my father and I almost always volunteer to assist them as we can or are able to.
