Hi I'm Eric Nelson

I have grown up in many places in the United States. I love reading and being creative. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I simply love reading books, especially fiction stories. I have read many of the classic stories from 20,00 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne to some of the modern classics like Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I also love to build with Legos as a hobby. I once built a star-ship out of Legos that ended up being made of over a thousand pieces. I also enjoy playing chess, running, and sword-fighting. I am also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America program, and I enjoyed my opportunity to learn useful skills through the scouting program.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church for my whole life. My parents were members and I have gone to church ever since I was a young boy. I have grown during my years being with the church and I have been blessed by following it's teachings. Following the teachings of the church has brought peace and comfort to my life during times of stress, I have found direction and purpose by discovering the doctrines of Christ, and hope for the future by learning about my relationship with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I have had many callings that I have been able to serve in to help serve the church. When I was younger I was able to serve in quorum presidencies where I was able to help plan activities for our scouting group and for church youth activities. I also have served in the leadership callings for some of the camps that the church had, including Youth Stake Conference and Camp Heleman. For these camps I helped plan and execute the activities that were don during those weeks.
