Hi I'm Whitney

I grew up in Utah. I want to teach math after my mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are mainly sports like volleyball or soccer. Those two are my favorite. I have a strange love for math and I love helping people. I am going to college and hopefully I will graduate soon before I run out of money.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in a family that already was in the church. Going to church was always something that I did. Slowly though, I began to gain a testimony for myself. I struggled a lot in high school and I didn't know who I really was. I felt lost and alone for a long time. Eventually, through help from some of my leaders, I learned that I was truly a daughter of God. I had a Heavenly Father who loved me so much and never wanted me to feel alone. I know how that if I am struggling again I can turn to Him. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It shares stories of people who lived on this Earth before us and the trials they had to face. We can learn from their stories to help guide us through our life. I know we have a prophet on the Earth today. He receives revelations from God and speaks to us. In order to really hear him though we need to humble ourselves. I am a Mormon because the things I have said have been witnessed to me through the Holy Ghost. I notice the difference when I am taking steps in the Gospel. I am much happier. I know that because of this Gospel I can be sealed to my family forever. Even though some of them may be gone for now, I will be able to see them again. I am a Mormon because Heavenly Father gives me all these blessings as long as I keep the commandments and stay true to the covenants I have made.

How I live my faith

In my college ward I was an family home evening leader which I loved. Almost every week on Monday, I had the opportunity to share my testimony or thoughts I had throughout the week with people the same age as me. I also got to come up with games or different activities to learn more about the people in my group. It was definitely a fun and new experience for me.
