Hi I'm Kadyn

I have grown up in Utah, Texas, and Ohio. I love all things to do with the outdoors and am an avid trumpet player. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I'm Kadyn. I recently graduated from high school with a as one of the top in my class. I have been very involved in band throughout high school playing trumpet in concert band and jazz band. I also spent a few years marching mellophone. I am also very involved in the outdoors enjoying activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and camping. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in the Madagascar Antananarivo mission. Upon returning I will be attending college and hopefully participating in marching band there as well.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to parents who were LDS; however, I have had to decide to continue in this Gospel on my own and I have done this based on the spirit that I have felt as I have lived the things I have been taught. It is amazing that even as a young adult barely out of high school I had the chance to experience what I have which has allowed me to see the truth of the Gospel. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and that it truly gives a record of the people of the Americas and Christ's visit here. I know that all the modern day prophets are true prophets of the Lord including Joseph Smith who restored the Gospel and Thomas S. Monson who continues to receive revelation today. I have had the opportunity to visit the grove of trees where God the Father and Christ appeared to a 14 year old Joseph Smith and there is no denying that that grove of trees is sacred and truly was the site of the first vision. I know that this provides me with the way to return to my father in Heaven and that if I follow the commandments I can receive all the promises I have been given.

How I live my faith

As I have grown up I have had the opportunity to live many places and in doing so have had to live in places where there are few members in my school which requires more of me to continue in living my faith. I also have been able to participate in teaching in my ward with some of the fathers in my ward and have gotten many chances to live my testimony as part of that. Right now though the main way I am living my faith is by serving the Lord and the people of Madagascar on a two year mission where I have left behind my life here in the US in order to dedicate all my efforts and all my energies to his service.
