Hi I'm Ben

I run track, I'm a state champion and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am the third youngest in my family. I lived in Minnesota for most of my life but I moved to Virginia before I started High School. Even though it was hard leaving my old friends behind I still could do what I loved in Virginia. Running helped me make new friends and build new relationships. I have recently graduated from High School and now I am going to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. My parents are two faithful members of the church and still my greatest examples in life. They have made the gospel of Jesus Christ central to their home, but someone else can't give you a testimony you have to find it yourself. I remember after my first year I of High School I started to question whether I actually had a testimony that the church was true or if I was just going through the motions because this is what I have been doing my whole life. Luckily my in seminary (an early morning church class for high schoolers) we studied the Book of Mormon. I didn't have a heavenly vision or one spiritual experience where I knew the it was true. It happened throughout the year, here a little there a little. At the end of the year my teachers asked me to write down what I knew about the Book of Mormon. The first thing that came to mind is the word "That it's true". I know that was a prompting from the holy Ghost. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. I know that this church has living Prophets and Apostles called by God. I know that this church teaches the restored and true message of Jesus Christ and that He is leading it still today. I Know that God sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ. I know he was sacrificed for all of our sins. Through his infinite atonement we can all live with God again.

How I live my faith

I have recently served as a youth leader in our congregation. It has shown me the love the Savior has for each of his children first hand. I love to follow the commandments of God and the words of His holy prophets and apostles. following their guidance brings me joy and happiness that I can share with others. I am looking forward to sharing His gospel on a full time mission soon.
