Hi I'm Michael

Hey! I grew up in Oklahoma, turned 18 and decided to go on a mission to serve the Lord the best that I can. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, I grew up in Oklahoma. I'm from a family of 16. Lived on a small farm with my family, where we had goats, chickens, cats, dogs, even some ducks at one point. Moved out of the farm after a while, didn't bring any of the animals with us. Been a member of the LDS Church my whole life, as well as my family. Graduated high school early and started going to college. After 2 years of college, I decided to go on a mission, and I received my call sending me to Irvine, California, in April of 2016. I'm excited about this opportunity to serve the Lord, and I hope I can teach many people while I'm there.

Why I am a Mormon

Initially, I'm a Mormon because I was raised in the LDS church. I'm still a Mormon, though, because I've felt the Holy Ghost giving confirmation of the truth of the Church. I've felt it guide me in my life, as I struggle through difficult trials in my life. I've looked back at my life, and I've seen where God has had a hand in my life, helping me when I'm in need. If there is one thing that I've learned in recent years, it's that oftentimes we don't realize that God has helped us until after the fact. It's only when you DO look back, and consider whatever it was, that you realize it may not have just been coincidence, or that the likelihood of it happening without God's help was never.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going on a mission for two years, and doing the very best that I can while I'm there. I believe that if we're good, keep God's commandments, keep our promises with God, and do our very best, that God will take us much farther than we can take ourselves.
