Hi I'm Ambri

I grew up Utah. I love to write. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in college deciding my major, which is currently English. It's difficult but very eyeopening because I'm meeting lots of people with different backgrounds from all over the world. I love my family, I have two brothers with high functioning autism and two sisters and I have a loving Dad and step Mom. I love to read and write, words have a lot of power. I love to write and make people laugh until our sides hurt.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. But as I got older I began to really ask the questions that the prophets encourage us to ask. I wanted to gain my own testimony, no more automatic belief. If I wanted to know I had to search. It's either true or it's not. So I began reading the Book of Mormon and praying more sincerely and earnestly than I ever have. I had done these things as a child but I never had a purpose. Slowly overtime I came to know the truth that God lives, He's real. Jesus is my Savior. Jesus Christ suffered in the Garden Gethsemane to complete the Atonement. The Atonement pays off any debt of sin that we have committed on Earth if we are willing to exercise our faith and repent. Because of this act, we can return to live with Him in Heaven. I also know that He knows us personally. He knows our names individually, He knows my pain and my desires and He wants to help me. He loves me. Just like He loves you. Christ completed the Atonement so that no pain that is ever felt goes unrecognized. One of His many names is the Physician. Because He has suffered it all, He knows how best to comfort and relieve everyone's pain.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission in Arizona and I'm really looking forward to sharing my faith and experiences with them.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

Ambri
A ward is a group of Mormons that live in the same area that go to church together every Sunday. A Stake is a group of wards in a larger area. A Branch is a group of stakes. By knowing these local groups it makes it easier for members to gather and support one another. Show more Show less
