Hi I'm Stafford

I'm an Idahoan, a father of 8, an automobile dealer, skiier, pilot, motorcyclist, builder, classical music lover. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in an active LDS family, for which I am very grateful. I was well taught how to live a happy and productive life. As I came of age to make decisions for myself, I reasoned that the principles I had been taught were correct and I would try to follow them. My life's experience has proven to me that my decision was a good one. I feel that my training as a youth in moral principles has also given me an expanded perspective in all areas of my life. This has been a great blessing to me and my family. I have a beautiful wife and 8 children. We have tried to teach these principles and model the behaviors consistent with those principles for our children. I has been my feeling that the level of success in raising our children will be manifested in the lives of our grandchildren. Some may feel that the Lord's commandments and moral values are restrict the enjoyment of this life. I have found the commandments to be like guides to keep me in the pathway of a happy life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know the doctrines to be true. This knowledge has given me peace because I know where I came from, why I am here and what my possibilities are for eternity. The teachings have been a blessing to me in helping me direct my life and that of my family in paths that have brought happiness to us.

How I live my faith

I have enjoyed serving in many capacities in my church. I always strive to live as I teach.

What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

The husband and the wife are of equally important, but dissimilar roles. The wife is the nurturer. The husband is the provider. The husband presides and the wife is his counselor. They counsel together and are united in their decisions. The husband brings strength and constancy to family life and the wife brings beauty and warmth. The husband protects and the wife comforts. Ideally the husband and the wife complement and complete each other, and they encircle the children in that completeness. Show more Show less
