Hi I'm Brenna

I am a middle child of 11, future missionary, music lover, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love music! I play clarinet and was in concert band for 7 years. I was a drum major of the marching band and LOVED it! I went to college for a year and now am currently waiting to serve a mission. I also enjoy playing ultimate frisbee! I love spending time with my family! My parents recently divorced, but I am grateful for the gospel and the joy it brings me!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know without a doubt that this is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I was raised in a family of 11 children into the church and have never doubted it. I was never forced into church, but I always went and still continue to go because I know it is true. If you pray with a sincere desire to know if it is true, you will receive an answer. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and am grateful for his sacrifice so we could have the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is true. I have read it 6 times personally and more with my family. I prayed to know if it was true and I received my answer. I am grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ who suffered for all of us. His Atonement is perfect and is for each one of us. I am grateful for the knowledge that families can be together forever. As families, we can be sealed in temples. I love temples because they are each a House of the Lord where we can receive answers and feel comfort. I know it is worth any effort to make it to the temple. I know this church is true without hesitation. I know we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us perfectly. I love the gospel and am proud to be a Mormon. :)

How I live my faith

I am very outgoing and comfortable talking about the gospel because I know it is true! I want to share the gospel because it is the most valuable knowledge I have that makes me happy and I want others to have that joy too! I have been a seminary president in 3 classes, Young Women president and counselor, a ward missionary, and currently a temple ordinance worker. I earned my Young Women's medallion twice as well as my honor bee. I constantly wear it to remind myself of my goal: The temple. :) I worked hard to receive my medallions and am grateful for the work because it has built me as a person and has increased my testimony. I live my faith by reading my scriptures, praying, serving others, smiling, wearing modest clothing, using clean words, showing kindness, and doing my best. I work on Christ-like attributes so I can share them with others.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Brenna
What goes on in temples are not secret, but sacred. They are for those who have been baptized and have covenanted to do all they can to become more like our Heavenly Father. Those who enter are worthy of these sacred ordinances. In the temple, the ordinances performed are focused on families. We also provide ordinances for those who have already died without receiving the gospel such as baptism. This helps those who have passed on to one day return to God. I am grateful for temples. I know that what happens within those walls are sacred. Even standing on temple grounds gives you a peace that cannot be felt anywhere else. I love to go to the temple. Show more Show less
