Hi I'm Nathan

I grew up in Arizona as the oldest of seven kids. I am serving a mission to Lansing, Michigan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 19 years old. I recently graduated from high school where I participated heavily in the Performing Arts. I played baritone and trumpet in the marching band, was in the top choir at my school, performed in multiple plays and theatre events, and took AP Music Theory. I love History and Music, and when I am done with my mission I plan to enlist in the military for 4 years in order to pay for college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a strongly Mormon family, and am the oldest of 7 children. I was always taught and believed the religion of my parents, and I never really started questioning the church until High School. When I was a Sophomore in High School, I started questioning some of the teachings and history of the Latter Day Saint Church. By the time I was a Senior I didn't really believe in God anymore. I talked to my dad (who is a Mormon Bishop), and asked him how he was able to believe in the LDS religion. He bore a simple testimony of Jesus Christ and His love for us, and he asked me to start reading the scriptures and praying every night. Eventually I received an answer from God that confirmed the truth of what I had been taught as a child. Now I am serving a two year mission to preach the Gospel. I still have questions and concerns that I don't understand, but I have faith that God knows more than me, and that as long as we obey His commandments, we'll turn out alright.

How I live my faith

I am serving a mission to Lansing, Michigan, and I sing in ward choir. I recently served as an adult adviser to the 14 year old young men on a hike to Havasupai.
