Hi I'm Madelyn Davis

I grew up in Utah, and am the oldest of 6 kids. I love music and science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play the piano, guitar, violin, and ukulele. I love playing music, singing, and dancing. I also really love science, especially biology. I want to get an education in the biomedical field and go on to become a pathologist/immunologist. I love to learn. I graduated from my early college high school with an Associates degree and can't wait to continue on in my education. I am the oldest of 6 kids and have been blessed to go on a few crazy adventures as a young adult. I served in Ecuador as part of a humanitarian expedition, and recently got called to serve as a missionary for the LDS church in Korea.

Why I am a Mormon

I would not be where I am today if I didn't have the opportunity to be a part of this church. My Lord and Savior has blessed me so greatly all throughout my life, and if I didn't know about the gospel of Jesus Christ, I would have given up a long time ago. It's through this gospel and my Savior that I have made it to where I am today. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. Countless hours of sincere prayer and fasting have been given in coming to know the truths of this life. I know that through living the gospel of Jesus Christ we can find true happiness. It is one of the reasons I have decided to serve a mission, in order to serve others around the world that may not know about these truths. I want others to experience the joy that comes from this wonderful gospel and being able to understand what the Lord's plan for us truly is! I know without a single doubt that my Heavenly Father loves me. I know He loves everyone, no matter the choices we've made. And that all He wants for us to be happy and return to Him and one day become like Him! I love my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church, and that the gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I have served in several callings for the LDS church and got a lot of leadership experience in doing so as a young woman. I served in some presidencies for the young woman of my ward, and I have played the piano for our church meetings. I try to offer service to others in my neighborhood and the nearby communities as often as possible. I love to serve, and am preparing to serve as a missionary for the church in Korea soon.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Madelyn Davis
To become closer to your Father in Heaven, the biggest thing I would say to do is pray. Take the time to kneel in prayer by yourself and for however long you may need. Have a real conversation with your Father in Heaven and let Him in. Another way to feel closer to your Father in Heaven is by serving. Serve other people! You will begin to love doing it, and come to love the people you serve. That is called charity, or the pure love of Christ. Once you recognize this, you will be able to better understand and feel the love Christ and your Father in Heaven has for you and you will begin to feel closer to Him. Show more Show less
