Hi I'm Blake

I grew up in Layton, Utah. I enjoy swimming, hiking, kayaking, and camping or basically anything outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being outside and just doing anything with my family or friends. I am a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. In high school I was the captain of the swim team and I have always loved being in the water! I love playing all sports, but I am nowhere near an athlete. I just like to be doing something with friends and family!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with active parents in the church. I just became expected to go to church and fulfill my duties in that sense, but as i grew older, I began to become curious for myself. I didn't want to just do these things because that's what my parents thought was right. So one day I committed myself to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it for myself. Because I chose for myself, I was able to gain my own testimony of the truth of what I had been taught all growing up. I knew it was true. I still know its true. That's why I am serving a mission, not only because it was commanded of me, but because I love my Heavenly Father and I want to follow him, and also because I know the joy the this gospel has brought into my life and I want every person to feel it for themselves.

How I live my faith

I serve as a missionary in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. Before that, I would help people with their family history, and I was an assistant to the Bishop for the 16-18 year old young men.
